Cookies

"Cookies" are small files that are stored on Users' computers. Different information can be stored within the cookies. A cookie is primarily used to store the information about a User (or the device on which the cookie is stored) during or after his/her visit to an Online Offer. Temporary cookies, or "session cookies" or "transient cookies", are cookies that are deleted after a User leaves an online service and closes the browser. In such a cookie, for example, the content of a shopping cart can be stored in an online shop or a login status. The term "permanent" or "persistent" refers to cookies that remain stored even after the browser has been closed. For example, the login status can be saved if Users visit it after several days. Likewise, in such a cookie the interests of the Users can be stored, which are used for range measurement or marketing purposes. A "third-party cookie" refers to cookies that are offered by providers other than the Controller who manages the Online Offer (otherwise, if it is only its own cookies, this is called "first-party cookies").

We may use temporary and permanent cookies and explain this in the context of our Data Privacy Statement.

If Users do not want cookies stored on their computer, they will be asked to disable the corresponding option in their browser's system settings. Saved cookies can be deleted in the system settings of the browser. The exclusion of cookies can lead to functional restrictions of this Online Offer.

A general objection to the use of cookies used for online marketing purposes can be declared in a variety of services, especially in the case of tracking, via the US website https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website https://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Furthermore, the storage of cookies can be achieved by switching them off in the settings of the browser. Please note that not all features of this Online Offer may be used when cookies are deactivated.

• Cookies set by AfB France on sites where our advertisements are present

Cookies set by us on sites where our advertisements are present When you access a site/application containing an AfB France advertisement, this advertisement may contain a cookie. This cookie is likely, subject to your choices, to be stored in your terminal and to allow us to recognise the browser of your terminal during the period of validity of the cookie concerned.

- These cookies are used: to count the number of displays and activations of our advertising content distributed on third-party sites/applications, to identify this content and these sites/applications, to determine the number of users who clicked on each content, etc. - to calculate the sums owed to the players in the advertising distribution chain (advertising agency, advertising sales house, distribution site/support) and to draw up statistics, etc. - to adapt the presentation of the site to which one of our advertising contents leads;

- According to the display preferences of your terminal (language used, display resolution, operating system used, etc.) during your visits to our site and according to the hardware and software for viewing or reading that your terminal has;

- According to the location data (longitude and latitude) which are transmitted to us (or to our service providers) by your terminal with your prior consent

- To follow the subsequent navigation carried out by your terminal on sites/applications or on other advertising content for which we operate cookies.

• What is the point of seeing ads adapted to your browsing?

Our goal is to show you the most relevant advertisements possible. To this end, cookie technology makes it possible to determine in real time which advertisements to display to a terminal, based on its recent browsing on one or more sites or applications. Your interest in the advertising content that is displayed on your terminal when you visit a site often determines the advertising resources of the site that enable it to operate its services, often provided to users free of charge. You may prefer to see advertisements that are relevant to your interests rather than advertisements that are of no interest to you. Similarly, advertisers who want to see their ads displayed are interested in displaying their offers to users who are likely to be most interested in them.

• If you share the use of your device with others

We cannot be certain that the services and advertisements intended for your terminal correspond to your own use of this terminal and not that of another user of this terminal. The sharing of your terminal use with others and the configuration of your browser's settings with regard to cookies are your free choice and your responsibility.

• Your choices regarding cookies

You have several options for managing cookies. Any settings you make may affect your browsing experience on the Internet and your access to certain services requiring the use of cookies. You can choose at any time to express and modify your wishes regarding cookies, by the means described below.

• The choices offered to you by your browser:

You can configure your browser software so that cookies are stored in your terminal or, on the contrary, that they are rejected, either systematically or according to their sender. You can also configure your browser software so that you are offered the option of accepting or rejecting cookies from time to time, before a cookie is likely to be stored on your terminal. For more information, see "How to exercise your choices, depending on the browser you use".

• The agreement on cookies :

The recording of a cookie in a terminal is essentially subject to the will of the user of the Terminal, which the latter can express and modify at any time and free of charge through the choices offered to him by his browser software. If you have accepted in your browser software the recording of cookies in your Terminal, the cookies integrated into the pages and content that you have consulted may be stored temporarily in a dedicated space in your Terminal. They will only be readable by their sender.

• Refusal of cookies :

If you refuse to accept the cookies we send to your terminal, or if you delete the ones we have stored there, you will no longer be able to benefit from a certain number of functions which are nevertheless necessary for browsing in certain areas of our site. This would be the case if you attempted to access our content or services that require you to be identified. This would also be the case if we were unable to recognise, for technical compatibility purposes, the type of browser used by your terminal, its language and display settings or the country from which your terminal appears to be connected to the Internet. Where applicable, we decline all responsibility for the consequences linked to the degraded functioning of our services resulting from the impossibility for us to record or consult the cookies necessary for their functioning and which you would have refused or deleted.

• How do you exercise your choices depending on the browser you use?

Each browser has a different configuration for managing cookies and your choices. It is described in your browser's help menu, which will tell you how to change your cookie wishes.
