Initiative 500 gAG
Under the motto "Together We Are Strong", AfB with its subsidiaries - Mobiles Lernen GmbH and Social Lease GmbH - are the sturdy pillars that support the Initiative 500 non-profit gAG. Their common goal: to offer people with disabilities tasks and job prospects and in doing so create new opportunities for companies, our society and the environment.
We employ more than 420 people, 50% of them with disabilities.
We pass along approx. 280,000 IT items every year.
We organise about 3,500 hardware pick-ups per year.
"I have always been motivated by the desire to do something useful. By creating the company AfB France, I was able to develop an activity that was both useful for Environment and for Society. Duplicating our model in several regions and thus increasing our ecological and social impact is a great satisfaction and a real driving force."
Eric LAUR, Chairman of AfB France
"After having managed many renewable energy projects for 10 years, I wanted to focus more on the global strategy of companies. Thus, during the validation of my MBA at EBS Paris, I had the opportunity to do an internship for eight months within the AfB team, as a consultant. This mission was part of the Scale up Project founded by Essec Business School and supported by the Rothschild Foundations. The objective was then to accompany AfB in its change of scale by helping it to duplicate its model in new regions of France. Today my functions have expanded and as Managing Director I am now responsible for managing the operational management of the company."

"At AfB, I joined a human-sized team that believes in everyone's potential. It's what I like and what makes me want to evolve. I have a very versatile job where you have to be reactive and ready to take on new challenges! In the long run, I'd like to get closer to the sales team to actively participate in the company's development."
Céline BORSUK, Administrative Service
"I joined the AfB team two years ago as a Sales Advisor. Previously I had worked for 10 years in Specialised Retailing but the stress level had become incompatible with my mental handicap. At AfB, I can finally fulfil myself in my profession. The management methods are more flexible and adapted, the team is listening and the daily work more serene."
